Requirements for Licensure
Registered Trainee Appraiser
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Complete 100 hours of pre-licensing classroom coursework.

Submit a completed application. This can be done online or by mailing in a printed application. There is an application fee of $230 to be paid to the state.
- Have fingerprints taken electronically. Fingerprint appointments can be made with the state testing vendor Pearson VUE online or by calling 1-888-204-6230. The fee is $57.25 and includes a background check.
- There is no state exam
Policies
- The
end-of-course examination cannot be given to a student who has absences
of more than 10% of the classroom hours. It is important that you check
with your instructor, or the administration office if you miss more
than 10% of the classroom hours.
- You may apply for a refund prior
to the 3rd hour of class. A full refund of the fees paid (less the cost
of materials issued by the school) will be provided if a written
request is received within one year of the start date of the original
class.
