Who needs a Community Association Managers' License?
Chapter 468, Part VIII, Florida Statutes requires licensure by individuals who provide community association management services for associations with more than ten (10) units or associations with total budgets that exceed $100,000.

What are the requirements for a Community Association Manager license?
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. (Need not be a Florida resident.)
Complete an eighteen (18) hour pre-licensure course and pass the state exam.

How do I receive licensure?
You may apply online to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) or you may print an application from the state site. The cost of the application is $228. The application is valid for one year, and includes the first license period. You must arrange for electronic fingerprinting with Pearson VUE, which can be done online or by calling 1-888-204-6289. There is an additional fingerprinting charge of $57.25 that includes a background check. After completing the 18-hour course, your education is valid for one year. Once the DBPR has processed and approved your application, you will then contact Pearson VUE online or at 1-888-204-6289 to schedule the Florida state exam in one of their testing facilities and pay an additional fee of $27.00.

Policies

  1. The completion certificate cannot be given to any student who has any absences. It is important that you check with your instructor or the administration office, if you miss any classroom hours.
